Ralls County Library Newsletter
01 January 2025
Notes from the Director
We are a bit crowded at the Ralls County Library!
Please be patient with us as JB Thompson Builders from New London creates a little extra space for patrons here in the library starting January 16, 2025!
There may be messy times, noisy times, crowded times, open and closed times and times where patience will be needed, but we will do our best to meet the needs of our patrons! Starting Jan. 16 and through February, programs at the Ralls County Library will be at other facilities in town. Adult Programming will be at the Brooks Building (old Lions Club near the old school), weekly Story Hour at Center Baptist Church, weekly Girls Club at Mark Twain Jr. High School and Adult Book Club will be virtual. Saturday events and Family Nights will return in March.
What can you do?
You can continue to put books on hold from Evergreen (the wait time might be a little longer for pick up in Feb.), participate in programs, stock up on books, take advantage of our audio/ebooks from Libby and Blackstone, and stay current with information about the library on Facebook, the website - rallscountylibrary.com, or by phone 573-267-3200. Signage will be on the door as well.
Come see us in January 2025!

A fresh year is here! Our preschool patrons will kick off 2025 with stories and a firework craft celebrating the new year. The second week of the month we will read about birds and create a bird feeder for our feathered friends. Beginning January 16th we will spend our Thursday time together at Center Baptist Church while construction gets underway at the library. During this time we will join with all ages for exciting stories and activities.
